Reviews of Glendower

"What a beautiful cottage in a stunning location.. The New Inn will quickly become your goto for a beer or 2 and the food is "OK".. The cottage however is the gem.. We enjoyed the wood burner each evening as we relaxed after a day's hiking.. Bronze age ditch Fort within 40 mins walk and some scenery that will blow your mind. The owners were helpful and surprised when I rang for an axe to cut down some kindling, however we went for a walk and arrived "home" to a very sharp axe.! Loved our time there, the cottage was perfect.. The only slight negative was no shop in the village so stock up on what you need before you arrive as we had to make a 30 min journey after a 3 and a half hour journey to stock up but in the grand scheme of things my girl and I would visit Glendower again in a heart beat. A true gem.. "

The Christmas tree was a wonderful gift and the decorations were lovely. Of course, the box of chocolates won the prize with kids and grown-ups alike! It's a lovely house in a beautiful place. "We stayed for new year, all of the party had a wonderful time. The owner made us very welcome with the house beautifully decorated for christmas and the chocolates were much appreciated. We found the pubs in the village were very good with the ability to have takaway at one if you wanted to stay in very useful. We ordered our food to be delivered from asda which was very good and arrived on time. We love the woodburner which was very atmospheric and reminded me of home. The owner came to check on us and made sure we had no problems which made us feel welcome, but we had no problems to report. The house was well equipped and the layout worked really well for 2 couples with two bathrooms. The dogs loved the wonderful walks even though the weather wasn't brillant they had a great time. The view from the cottage to the village and up the mountain was very scenic and I can't wait to come back in the summer to really appreciate it."
