Reviews of Black Mountain View
"This is by far the best holiday let we've stayed in that has been restored by the owners to a very high standard. Its tastefully decorated and furnished with quality items. The view from the balcony of the surrounding area is simply superb. You could happily spend all day on there and never get bored surrounded by cows, sheep, and watching the red kites swooping overhead. Its situated within a mile of the red lion pub that is the oldest in powys and does lovely food. The Elan valley village and dams are close by all with breath taking scenery. theres also a kite feeding station nearby that is well worth seeing, literally hundreds of these magnificent birds gather there at the same time every day and its a site to behold. You can also get to the coast within about an hour. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. We enjoyed it that much that we rebooked as soon as we got home."

"The accommodation was better than we expected, with everything that was needed for self catering. It was decorated in calm pastel shades with lights everywhere. It was warm and cosy, even in damp weather. It had beautiful views from every window and the balcony which was a bonus. The owners were very helpful but not in your face. The parking was right out side the accommodation."

"The cottage is exceptional and all the furnishings and fittings are of a thoughtful and very high quality. Uninterrupted beautiful views of the mountains and countryside welcome you as the view from the lovely balcony. It felt so warm and homely that the temptation was to to stay put and revel in all that nature and active country life entertained us with. We will be going back and have no reservations whatsoever in recommending this cottage."

"The quality of the building and furnishings was of a high standard. Everything had been thought of in this cottage. Lovely comfortable bed and matching furniture throughout. The log burner was a plus; we stayed on the coldest night of the winter but we were nice and toasty watching the stars through the balcony doors - magical. The owner was very welcoming on arrival. We loved everything about the cottage and our break away. Well worth a visit and definitely has the wow factor. "

"We loved the peace and quiet of the cottage being in the middle of nowhere. The cottage has been built and furnished to a very high standard and the balcony area was fantastic too! The owners couldn't have been more friendly! Our intentions when we go away is to relax and not really do anything. Some might think that a waste when there is so much to see and do but we saw and did everything we needed just by staying in the cottage....stunningly beautiful."
