Reviews of The Old Baptist Chapel
" We had a lovely relaxing holiday in this gorgeous old chapel in south wales . Every thing you would need and 2 minute walk to the pub but now only opens on weekends . Comfy beds ,sofas and lovely hot showers . Lots of walks in village just go explore . There is lots of information in chapel of the village and places to go and visit which was very helpfull. Loved the log fire we had it on every night nice and cozy. Will be back again some time in the future "

"Just spent a wonderful week at this beautiful clean and comfortable cottage. Everything has been thought of. The chapel is tastefully decorated with top of the range interior. There is a lovely wood burner and underfloor heating so would be lovely and warm if having a winter stay. Owners Terry and Ade are very friendly and nothing is too much bother. We took our Springer Spaniel Milly and she settled in well. Loads of walks local and afar. A week is not longer enough to see everything. There is a local pub which in my mind is fine for drinks but didn't rate the overpriced food but staff were very friendly. If you are looking for a comfortable base in a beautiful part of Wales you can't go wrong here. Raglan Castle and Tintern Old Railway Station were out favourites and very dog friendly. We hope to come back next year."

"Loved staying at this very clean, unique, fantastic cottage. Very comfortable beds, sitting area also very cozy especially with the wood burning stove. The kitchen is supplied with all the tools and appliances you need for modern comfort. We were lucky and had beautiful weather for sitting in the garden. An added bonus was the 1 minute walk to The Penallt Inn Pub. "

"Excellent accommodation. A brilliant modernisation of a unique old property. Had a fantastic living area, kitchen and bedrooms, in a wonderful building. The surrounding countryside is great, with plenty of opportunity to walk making the countryside accessible and the car (almost) redundant. The combination of the underfloor heating and the wood burner made it very cosy."

The surrounding area is beautiful with lovey walks, although bear in mind that there is some hill walking! The Inn, which is literally a minutes walk away is brilliant. All in all a brilliant time was had, so thank you."

"Absolutely fantastic accommodation. Decorated beautifully, and with lots of fun touches. The building is fantastic, and the owners have thought of every conceivable creature comfort that a person could need. The area is beautiful with lots of walks, although we did not do too many of them because we did not want to leave the Chapel! Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely be returning."
