The photos don't do it justice. It is so peaceful and tranquil, you can really unwind. There is so much wildlife to watch, you really don't need to go anywhere. "As a holiday cottage, this one is a fabulous airy contemporary place to stay, ideally situated for Abergavenny which is a 10 minute drive and Monmouth 20 minutes away. The property sits in a quiet spot 1/2 a mile down a one track lane in a small hamlet and, although it's attached to the owner's property, if it's peace and quiet you want, this is the place for you. As a couple we found the main upstairs living area spacious and very comfortable, with reasonable mod cons. The downstairs bedrooms are refreshingly modern, no chintz or floral, 'olde world' which makes a welcome change. I did battle with the shower in the wet room, which had 5 separate shower features, I never did work out how to just get the one I wanted running on it's own at any one time, but variety is the spice of life. The other great thing about the cottage was that it was constantly warm and, if you are of a nesh disposition, then the wood burning stove can kick out some real heat. The overall result is a cozy warm venue and night with a lovely light airy feeling during the day. Definitely one of the better places to stay."
