Reviews of Bwthyn Megan
"This is a lovely cottage in a great location giving easy access to the entire Isle of Anglesey. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed to cook lovely meals with local produce. In one of the living rooms the wood burner helps create a romantic and cosy atmosphere, the kids can play on their consoles or loose themselves on the net in the other living room as there are TV's in both rooms. The beds are very comfy, so long lazy mornings are very tempting. Outside is the best kept Hot Tub we have ever used the owners take great care with keeping the water quality perfect. We will definitely be back soon."

"This is a beautiful cottage and an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. The owners are just the most thoughtful I've ever experienced! There's everything you need from lu roll to a bottle opener, pizza cutter, a maiden, iron, hairdryer and more... they have literally thought of everything! The hot tub is heaven after a day entertaining a lively hound! We stayed for a week in June and the weather so far has been glorious. We used the cottage as a base for revisiting childhood memories and visiting friends and family on the island. I'd highly recommend an online Asda delivery on the day of arrival, less to bring with you and only comes from the local store in llangefni. Especially in the hot weather. It's 10 to 30 mins to a beach depending on your needs. Newborough beach and the forest offers something for everyone.....our dog is thoroughly enjoying his stay here! Can't recommend this place enough, and I'm certain we will be back. Thankyou Lucy/Fiona."

"We have just had a fantastic week here! Perfect cottage-all home from home comforts. Amazing hot tub in very private spot. Great location, everywhere in easy driving distance. Little handy shop at the end of the street for newspapers and groceries. We explored the whole island from here-lots of pristine beaches and spectacular views to be had! Highly recommended!!"

"Quiet rural location. Good base for exploring the area (car needed). Well equipped cottage with good quality fixture and fittings. Special mention for the welcome hamper, log burner and hot tub. Contact with owner before and during our stay was excellent, with nothing too much trouble. Off road parking with a shop/post office 1 min walk. Very dog friendly (without any doggy smells). Would highly recommend. "

"We have stayed in Anglesey many times in different cottages and this has been far our favourite cottage!!! The log fire was lovely and combined with the heating we where so warm. Hot tub is great and on a clear night can see all the stars. Both gardens are secure for dogs our 2 loved it. Cottage was very clean and the kitchen had everything you could ever need. Fiona is lovely and had left us a little welcome package and a roaring fire. Would recommend to everyone it is so lovely and cosy. We will be back!!!!"

"The owner greeted us on arrival & had lit a fire. It's a small cottage buy has everything you need. The next morning we found the cottage freezing & had no hot water after investigating we found the boiler had been switched off. Once turned back on the cottage was lovely & warm. The bed was very comfortable however for me the TV in the dinning area isn't need & would be better in the bedroom. It's so close to the sofa that it makes your eyes hurt watching it. A TV in the bedroom while you cuddle up after along day walking would be much better in my opinion. The hot tub was fantastic & much needed after along day walking. Added bonus of a shop just up the road plus a friendly pub the Holland arms 3 miles down the road. Who made us vegetarian food that wasn't on the menu plus sold amazing Welsh bitter. Only downside to our stay was the neighbours were having renovation works which woke us up at 8am each day & went on until 6pm. Obviously not the fault of the owners but it wasn't the peaceful week we needed. If you are in to walking then this place is the place to stay as there are beautiful places right on your doorstep. "

"We have had an amazing week in this beautiful cottage. This is the nicest cottage we have stayed in. We were greeted by Fiona when we arrived, such a lovely lady, she recommended places to go and places to eat, before leaving us she said if we needed anything to call her, nothing was to much trouble. We were also welcomed with a hamper of goodies ( lovely touch ). The cottage was supplied with so much, woodburner (wood and coal to start us off for a couple of days), two televisions which both had dvd players, Dvds, radio, washing machine, microwave, toaster, slow cooker, towels. Outside was a hot tub (with robes),BBQ, patio area, the list goes on. I could have stayed more than a week in this lovely cottage. Anglesey is lovely too, we have walked 40 miles in total and still many more miles to walk. This weeks holiday has given us some wonderful memories. A huge thank you to Fiona (Proprietor) who has helped to make these wonderful memories."

"Just come back from a truly delightful week in this lovely stone cottage. The cottage is well situated on the Island with easy access to most places. Inside the cottage it really is home from home. The nice leather sofas are cumfy, the log burner was easy to control and the fireplace looked the part. All home comforts have been well thought out by Fiona the owner. From the dressing gowns for the hot tub to the logs for the burner to dvd's for rainy days. We tend not to visit many places more than once but we will make a exception with this cottage. Thanks Fiona we loved it."

"From the friendly welcome from Fiona to the last lock-up, this was a wonderful relaxing holiday. Comfortably furnished to a very high standard, it is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into making this a perfect getaway. The box of goodies was very much appreicated, and what could be better on a wet afternoon than a log burner, a (very) large glass of wine and a good book? The hot tub was also great to relax in (with another glass of wine, naturally) after a day spent exploring this very pretty, peaceful island. My sister and myself both returned home feeling relaxed, refreshed and revitalised!"

"My partner and I booked Carreg Ryhs for an early January stay to beat the winter blues. We have stayed before and knew what to expect - a relaxing and cosy break. We took our dog again who always has such a big fuss made of her by the owners Fiona and Pete. Their dogs had just had a litter of puppies so also had some much needed pet therapy. There was a problem with the hot tub so the owners offered to let us stay at Bwthyn Megan as the previous guests had just vacated. This is the sister cottage just up the road which also had tub. Very impressed with both cottages which are finished to a high standard. Very Laura Ashley. Fiona and Pete couldn't do enough for us and it was lovely to meet them again. They really do take pride in their work. Arriving to a roaring log fire is a nice touch and provides a lovely welcome. Sad to be home now, we will be returning."

"Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break on anglesey! This beautifully furnished property had everything we want from a holiday let. Cosy beds with quality bedding, a well equipped kitchen and the cutest living room complete with wood burner and candles to create the perfect atmosphere to relax in! Outside there was an enclosed garden (handy for four legged friends and children) a rustic patio area and a fantastic hot tub, a must following our climb up Snowdon! There is a post office and shop at the end of the road, handy! There is also great fish and chips in the next village (Gaerwen) and a fantastic pub serving outstanding food with stunning views over the Snowdon range. The cottage also sits on a cycle route and they provide storage for bikes. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating. This is a super little cottage and we can't wait to return!"

"Gorgeous home for our family holiday. Owners couldn't be more helpful but were unobtrusive. House finished to a stunning standard with lots of lovely little extra touches showing real care and attention. Great base for some of the best family days out we have had, can't recommend Anglesey highly enough for a relaxing family break. Cottage very close to local amenities but felt so peaceful, kids loves to cows in the field opposite. We can't wait to book again for our next family break."

"Set in a quiet and tranquil setting Bwthyn Megan is a romantic little gem! Beautifully decorated and comfortable, I couldn't add to it if it was my own home. The separate lounge with log fire and both living areas equipped with large flatscreen TVs, sweet little garden with hot tub and large kitchen, separate downstairs toilet and even washer in storage room allows enough space for two couples or a small family to enjoy their holiday together and still enjoy privacy. Only 3 miles from beautiful Newborough beach with beautiful sandy beaches with nature trails and dedicated and running as well as cycle routes, Bwthyn Megan is a lovely natures/activity lovers breakaway. Still, we had 5 days of bad weather and were happy and snug just staying in! "
