Reviews of Dolau

"On entering everything looked OK, until having a better look around. In the kitchen the glass on the cooker hood had not been cleaned and the filter need a good was. On entering the room there was ash all on the hearth and the fireplace not cleaned up. Dust on ornaments and television stand clearly not been dusted. Glass table top not been cleaned finger marks on the top and underneath. Shower screen not cleaned either. I dont expect to walk in and have to start cleaning.I have never been to a rented cottage and not been left a pint of milk or a spare toilet roll. Attention to detail absolutely lacking. Dust on a lot of flat surfaces. Note on the kitchen to say they have had complaints about strong dog smells on the bed linen in the bedrooms causes extra work for the cleaners! Surely the bed linen has been washed. Also states if you any issues with cleanliness contact the cleaners within an hour of arrival and they will attend within one hour phone number obliterated!"

"Please re consider if thinking of booking this place we went for a week stay, I had to clean the kitchen and oven prior to use, then came the nasty surprise on the first night whilst unpacking we found what appeared to be lines of dead insects underneath the bed we were to sleep in (see pictures) the whole place was covered in cobwebs and spiders. According to the owner cleaners had been that morning what utter rubbish, we then discovered we were living with wasps rang the owner who contacted pest control that was 2 days off our weeks holiday turned out there was an active wasp nest that had gotten into one of the rooms. I have had numerous discussions and messages with the owner who has numerous times stated he would offer some kind of refund however despite being very patient none arrived. Please please do not book to stay here unless you want to spend days cleaning and sleeping next to dead insects and goodness knows what else!!!!!!!!"
