Reviews of Ty Cerrig
"We had a lovely stay at the character filled cottage in Corwen. The location is breathtaking and the garden is beautifully maintained. The hosts were very friendly and the cottage well loved and maintained. It helped having detailed directions. We would highly recommend this cottage."

"A fantastic cottage in a fantastic location. Great to get away from the hustle and bustle. Well equiped and comfortable and cosy. A narrow lane leads up to the property but we didn't encounter any problems. All rooms are spacious and the outside garden is great for alfresco eating. Your close to all ameneties but far enough away to feel detached from the hustle and bustle. In conclusion a 5* cottage in a 5* location."

"This was our second time spent at Ty Cerrig. I love this little cottage, if I won the lottery I'd give the owners a price they couldn't refuse and buy it! It's so comfy and in a beautiful location. I took my granddaughter for the first time and she loved it too. She insisted that it was a hobbit house and there were fairies in the garden. One night we lay out in the garden and watched the blue moon and millions of stars, it was magical. Memories were made there."

It is very well furnished and very comfy and cosy inside. it is bigger than the photos suggested! It's situation is delightful - the sound of birdsong is the loudest thing you hear!! Not to mention castles, waterfalls and steam trains - what more could you need? The cottage was cosy, comfortable and well equipped, with super walks literally on the doorstep. We would definitely return!"

"A very nice cottage set on a hill surrounded by woods and great walks right from the front door. The cottage was ideal base for seeing most of north Wales it was comfortable and fairly well equipped but might be a bit tight at meal times if you had more than 3 people in the group. The only thing we did not like was the hand written notices all round the cottage no need for them and very unprofessional. Down in the village the Victoria pup offers good value tasty meals and friendly staff."

"This was our second stay at Ty Cerrig and on both occasions booking the cottage was simple and straightforward, made easier by friendly staff. Ty Cerrig is ideal for our needs although the large settee in the lounge is getting a bit tired, the rest of the cottage is well appointed. The log-burning stove was most welcome at nights. The enclosed garden is ideal for our dog and there are plenty of local walks for his exercise. We know the area very well, there are take-aways in Harlech and the local pub has a good extensive menu. I think the most important factor for me is the peace and quiet the location offers, surrounded by fabulous countryside"

"My husband and I visited Ty Cerrig for our wedding anniversary/ my birthday in April. Previous reviews for this cottage were very good, and the fact it was reasonably priced and pet friendly influenced our decision ( the picture in Sykes brochure didn't do it justice)The access to this cottage is via a very steep and narrow lane, but don't be put off by this as there is relatively little traffic usage. The cottage itself although not luxurious was lovely and comfortable. A little low on headroom in places, but that just added to the character. The different levels would make it unsuitable for disabled use. This cottage is all about the position. Glorious mountain views to the back and sea views to the front, the outside space is fantastic. There are a number of walks all around the cottage, making it a great place for exploring. Within a short driving distance are several dog friendly beaches. The village of Llanbedr is a mile walk from the cottage. Not much in the way of shops, but boasts a pub that does excellent bar meals and a carvery. The village butcher has beautiful reasonably priced Welsh meat for the barbecue. If you are looking for peace and quiet, where the only sounds you hear are birdsong then this is the cottage for you. (we've booked another week in September!!)"

I drove over 800 miles to see some of the wondrefull sights. The Cottage was very adequate for our needs, although it was 30c and beautifully sunshine during the day !! But it was very cold inside at night !!(Solid Slate walls) There are lot of heaters in the cottage, and we had to use some of them. (soft southerners) Some of the cottage needs to be updated. But it is very good value, and we loved it. Thank you for a wonderfull stay."
