Reviews of Tan Y Coed
"This is a great house in a village location. 2 bedrooms on 1st floor with bathroom which has a shower over the bath. Large bedroom with en-suite shower room on 2nd floor. Probably ready for a freshen up for next season but big and airy with good sized enclosed rear garden and space for 2-3 cars at the front. Additional parking across the road at the hotel if required. 3 hotels in the village all dog friendly and welcoming. Fantastic walk from Harlech along the beach back to Lanbedr."

"family adult weekend break, called to barmouth first for lovely fish and chips from the local chippy which were lush. Arrived at tan y coed early as ian the owner said we could, called into the pub opposite which is also owned by ian and llinos, ian filled us in about all the local places to go to, his hotel has only been open a few weeks, we are thinking of staying there next time because it looks beautiful, decorated to a high standard and tan y coed was just as good, plenty of room loved the hamper which included doggy treats, hot tub was spacious and the house was great can't wait for our next visit"

"Tan y coed is a beautiful property in the small but very pretty village of Llanbedr. Close to Harlech, famous for its castle. A pretty river runs through the middle of the village and can be viewed from the Victoria Arms pub. There are tea rooms, a village shop which is reasonably priced for groceries, a bakery, and two lovely pubs for food and drink, lovely pub gardens with covered areas if the weather is bad (which it was) and also allocated rooms where you can take your dog whilst eating. The property was everything it described in the write up when we booked. Tastefully furnished and decorated, with everything you could possibly want for a self catering holiday. The hot tub was wonderful, the garden was safe and secluded for our little dog, with astra turf and gravel and patio. Patio furniture included table and chairs for 6 people, comfy sofa and chairs with padded cushions, barbecue and outside heater if required. Hot tub is for 6 people and has lights and speakers for playing music. There is so much space in this property. Its a real home from home. The bedrooms were large and airy, comfy beds and plenty of storage space. The master has an en suite with shower, wash basin and toilet. Each bedroom is equipped with its own tv. The landing is very spacious with lovely windows that let in plenty of light. The kitchen has range cooker, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and a washer dryer. The weather wasn't very good the week we were there, so we used the kitchen quite a bit to cook, and I can honestly say it had everything I needed. A nice touch was the welcome basket that greeted us. It contained milk, butter, tea bags, welsh cakes and a bag of doggy treats for our little dog. So thoughtful! The owners Llinois and Ian made themselves known to us after a couple of days, (they live over the road and are renovating a guest house), such warm welcoming people who made it clear that if we needed anything at all, we just had to ask. They were so genuine that they made us feel like we had made new friends. We wish them well in their new venture and hope to visit again when the guest house is up and running. A truly beautiful house which I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. If you want a holiday with peace and quiet, in lovely surroundings, all mod cons, nature in the garden, then this is the place for you. Cant recommend it highly enough."
