"Firstly the good points: fine location, large garden, excellent views. Now the bad points: poor standard of kitchen cleanliness, grubby utensils, beds not made up as we were promised by the agents (Sykes), sundry kitchen fixtures in need of repair, filthy balcony furniture.....I could go on. Complaint made and photographic evidence of many shortcomings provided via the agent but the owner appears to think there was nothing wrong. It's a real shame that what could have been a great holiday in a lovely part of Wales was spoiled for us by many examples of a property in need of a good clean and general freshen up. I'm not saying don't go, I just hope all the issues we encountered have now been rectified."

"I go away on a cottage holiday every year and this is one of the best cottages I have ever stayed in. My children loved every minute spent there as they would play hide & seek for hours in the woods. Would love to go again next year."

"The house was amazing, the pictures don't do it justice at all! It's in an amazing location for the beach and town of Barmouth, which is beautiful. If you just want a lazy day the house and garden is plenty big enough to just chill out around."

"Gardd Ynys was an amazing property with stunning views. It was situated within a very intimate, secluded spot with a huge garden area for family fun. The house was large enough that we didn't really have enough time to use all of the rooms!. The location was conveniently placed to visit a number of attractions. We realised we would have to come back again to see everything the local area has to offer and we can't wait to do so! "
