The small coastal village of Llanaber lies between one of the most picturesque resorts on the Welsh coast, Barmouth, and the World Heritage Site of Harlech, all surrounded by the unrivalled splendour of the Snowdonia National Park. Llanaber overlooks beautiful Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsula beyond and is home to the historic 13th century St Mary & St Bodfan church. This is a renowned location for wonderful beaches, fishing, golf, walking, sailing, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding and has ready access to mountains, steam railways, slate quarries and a variety of historic castles. The traditional seaside town of Barmouth boasts an enormous sandy Blue Flag beach, perfect for families. A variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, combined with the mild climate, make this an ideal destination for a holiday, even out of season. This area is a paradise for walkers and climbers, with Mount Cader Idris nearby, the second highest mountain in Wales. An abundance of wildlife along the Mawddach Estuary, trout fishing in mountain lakes, Harlech Castle, St David's golf course and Portmeirion Italianate Village are just a handful of the many superb attractions within this beautiful area.
