Reviews of Base House
"As those before us said, the location is perfect. 5 minutes to the beautiful beach with the dog. A beach big of golden sand to satisfy a walk or run for as far as you want and then some. Back in time for breakfast at one of the local cafe's. A run out to a various attractions within 30 minutes. Back for a second beach walk, before dinner at one of the local restraunts / pubs. Slow down, enjoy the company and enjoy your four legged friends. Most importantly disregard any weather forecasts, Aberdovey has its own micro-climate, with a weather window on the worst days. The accomodation was generous, spacious, with character and views, with a small garden patio perfect for a drink in the setting sun."

"The Base House is really lovely. It has wonderful views of the beach and the town, very quiet apart from the seagulls, well equipped (sharp knives!) and very homely. It was ideal for our young dog as the kitchen can be closed off so we didn't need to worry about him getting up to mischief while on his own overnight. There is a pretty enclosed garden, again, ideal for the dog. It's a 5 min walk to the car park and literally mile upon mile of sandy beach and shallow sea that dogs are allowed on (There is a dog free part as well). The owner sent us a very helpful info pack by email beforehand and Sykes gave us plenty of clear information as well. All in all I was really impressed by Sykes and the Base House."
