Reviews of Bryn Farm Cottage

"Wasp nest at footage and we were informed by Sykes when we were half an hour before arrival! No sorry or concern for allergies. We were told that when we arrived at the cottage the owner would meet us... no owner! They had apparently gone on holiday! After a 51/2 hour journey we stood knocking on the owners door for 20 mins. We rang Sykes and were then told that they key is in the key safe and proceeded to give us the code. Got inside the cottage and the floor had not been mopped (it was sticky)! I towel per person to use on the body and face! Hygiene must not be high on Sykes and the owners agenda. No enclosed garden, that was only for owners use and the back door was firmly locked! There is a lawn at the front next to the road but if you sit out there the owner can see you and the all everyone going past. This is not a place for children because they cannot play out. There is a cheap bench next to the low fence next to the road and two gold away chairs in the boiler cupboard. The bathroom has a big window which is part of the shower but anyone putting the rubbish into the enclosure on the other side can see you. Doors from owners house coming into the cottage but no safety for people hiring the cottage due to no lock on the rental side. When complained to Sykes the rude manager warned us not to put in a complaint because he will be dealing with it and he would make sure it went nowhere. Would never book with Sykes again and the cottage dose not have all the facilities described."
