Reviews of Hendre Aled Farmhouse
"We, three families - 12 adults, have just returned from a weekend at this amazing farmhouse. It has plenty of space for 12 people so that you don't feel on top of each other. The rooms are all decorated beautifully and very comfortable. Set in a picturesque location with stunning views. We could not fault it at all, absolutely perfect!"

"Stayed here with a group of friends, 3 families, for a surprise 21st get away. Ideal to just get away from it all. Fully equipped with everything you need. Cooking facilities for large groups, large fridge etc.Very warm, cottage with central heating and log burners to add to the cosy feel. Lots of space and rooms for you to be separate if needed with a large dining room so you can all get together too. Approach a little roadway, one car width only but that doesn't matter, the cottage has plenty of parking once you reach it. Views amazing. Would like to return so we could do the walks. Lovely weekend break. "

"The farmhouse was large and comfortable for 10 of us. It is located in a very pretty area which is a short drive to most amenities. We stayed for a family birthday which included a trip to Zipworld which is highly recommended. Our dog had plenty of outside space to run about. "

"We would highly recommend this house as a base to stay whilst in Wales. It's only downfall was the exceedingly long, very steep and exceptionally rugged drive to it. If winter is upon you when you decide to book, a 4x4 is most likely your best option. The cottage was exceedingly well equipped, very comfortable and had ample sapce to chill out. Very close to other towns and the views from the actual road at the top of the drive were stunning."

"We were welcomed by the owner and given a tour of the house. We had easy access to several national treasures Like Snowdonia National Park, castles and several seaside resorts. The accommodation excelled our expectations - tastefully decorated, plenty of room and the beds were super comfortable."

"Great house with loads of space, and a perfect layout with separate living areas for 2 families or, as in our case, adults and kids. There are 2 really nicely laid out sitting rooms with great tv's and a mezzanine sleeping area for 3. Our kids loved it, and we enjoyed the wood burner and the peace and quiet. The big dining room was perfect too. The other bedrooms are great with loads of space and comfortable beds. Fantastic area for walking and watching the local wildlife. Some good pubs with nice food are a short drive away. Great place, run by really helpful, nice, easy people. Go and enjoy!"

"This fabulous farmhouse provided all we wanted for our 2 families which consist of teenagers and toddlers! It was remote but it was easy to go places from this base. The 2 sitting rooms were great as one was used purely by the teenagers to hang out and the other for the adults. We visited a number of places whilst there and were blessed with the weather. Worth a mention is the longest zip wire in europe which we booked and the dads and teenagers enjoyed! We also booked the train to go up the mountain and it was fab, again, a very clear day so we could see for miles! We had a thoroughly brilliant time and the owners were really nice and accomodating. Would recommend!!!"

"Lovely remote place to stay but everything was within driving distance and the owners were lovely people. We loved having two sitting rooms as it meant that the teenagers could use one and the adults had the other one."

"We've just spent an amazing week in the farmhouse - 2 grandparents, 4 parents and 5 grandchildren. The accommodation was perfect; very big bedrooms, two lounges to provide for the young and the "more mature", a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious dining room, two bathrooms and a toilet, a conservatory and a patio with barbecue. The house was very tastefully decorated & well equipped throughout. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, providing plenty of suggestions as to what to visit, where to go out to eat, etc. They were always happy to hear where we'd been & what we'd done, but in a discreet manner without intruding. The house was set in spectacular countryside with plenty of space for the kids to play in & for us to explore. The trip just down to the river was lots of fun for us all! For those who want to escape the pressures of everyday life & constant phone calls, this needs to be your choice - Hendre aled is off the beaten track and very peaceful but this means that at the house itself there's no mobile coverage, although there is wifi for what's app and email contact. We all loved our stay and would go back again tomorrow without any hesitation. During our week we were easily able to visit Conwy (30 mins), Blaenau Festiniog (50mins) and other local tourist attractions. If you happen to go at the end of July, check out the International Sheep Shearing Contest in Corwen. What an incredible experience!!! For a very good meal at a great price, try The Old Stag pub at Llangernyw, the village next door. All you need to do now is book!!!"

"This is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. It was immaculately clean, the owners were extremely warm helpful and welcoming to our group. Every one in the group agreed they would come back to the farm house or the cottages. It is heavenly for children as they had so much land to roam around and explore. The dogs loved the stream. "
