"We stayed here March 2013, had one day of poor weather but the rest of the week was fabulous (a little chilly but the roaring fire every evening made it feel like we could have been in a hot country). The setting is marvellous, so tranquil but with life around us (hence the working farm element) so it doesn't feel too remote. So much to see and do in the local area we're going to have to go back again soon to fill the gaps. Highlights were Pembury country park with its gorgeous 8 miles of sandy beach, Bury Ports pretty harbour and the restaurant (brasserie) in the golf club spa (Machynys) in Llanelli and Carmarthen for good shopping. As well as St David's and Tenby. Children absolutely love it, to see the animals, tractor, water birds, birds if prey and a park in the garden was fantastic, my daughter was not bored for a minute. She even ventured up to the bit tub for a look but didn't fancy going in, we left that to Daddy. Such friendly and welcoming proprietors and the facilities and quality of the cottage made it feel like 5* luxury, it was really a fantastic place to stay. I will be recommending it to all my friends and family. Cannot praise highly enough."

The cottage has the benefit of excellent facilities and a good central position to explore South West Wales. A car is essential as the property is situated approx 2 miles off a main road, but the walks in the immediate area are wonderful. Tips for places to visit while you stay include: Gower - amazing beaches and scenery Pembrey Country Park - very local 10 min drive, great beach and activities for the family Carmarthen - local major town and nearest cinema (for those wet days!) Castles - with six castles in a 30 mile radius you're spoilt for choice, our personal favourite is Dinefwr. We have already booked our third returning visit to Morfa Bach Farm Cottages and would not hesitate in recommending to others."

We had a disabled guest and finding a nice homely venue without it being too clinical is extremely difficult however, Elder Cottage provided everything and more. In fact our disabled guest said it had been the best week of her life. Another important point was the warm welcome from the owners of the property, such a wonderful family who offered oodles of information about the area but equally respected your privacy. A truly fantastic week, its an absolute must that we will return next year."
