There is a bathroom, a fitted kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is ample off road parking, and a rear garden with furniture and BBQ. The Barn at Daldorch is a lovely family base for Ayrshire and its coastline.
The village of Mauchline sits peacefully in the lovely hills and countryside in an ideal spot for exploring the beautiful scenery of Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran. Reviews of The Barn At Daldorch
"My wife and I have recently returned from this wonderful property having spent a week taking in the calmness of the surroundings. The three-quarter of a mile drive in from the lane gives you an idea how quiet and remote this place is. The property in itself is truly wonderful. Nothing has been left to chance here. Every little detail has been well thought out. The home made goodies in the welcome pack on arrival was very much appreciated and very nice. We saw Deer and a Hare while we were there as well as the cattle in the fields. The owners, Linda and Bob were a very nice couple and were on hand if needed. This is a very nice location to visit other places in the area or just chill out and relax in The Barn. We would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful property."

"This property is truly well worth the cost, it is in a good location for many of the attractions of South West Scotland, Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran. The location of the property is somewhat secluded down a track but it is such a tranquil location surrounded by fields and the River Ayr. The owners Linda and Bob Forbes live on site but apart from the most friendliest of greetings you seldom see them but they are always available if required. The Barn is extremely comfortable, it is in superb condition with all the modern appliances one would require, there is Wifi which is reliable and adequate for most peoples needs ( you are, after all , on holiday !) The family bathroom and en-suite are very spacious both having large walk in showers with a powerful water flow. On arrival you will find Linda and Bob have provided a jar of homemade marmalade, a home made loaf, eggs, fruit and milk for you to have as they say " breakfast on them" We would not hesitate to return and neither would our dog Molly who loved the place even though she was wary of the cows that are in some of the fields. So if you are looking for a holiday cottage in this area then The Barn should be your number one choice. There is also another property on the site, The Stables , which from what the occupants told us is just as well appointed as The Barn."

"The Barn at Daldorch is an idyllic place to stay when visiting Ayrshire. It is quite comfortable and the amenities are top-notch. The hosts could not be more gracious and friendly. The views around the Barn at Doldorch are gorgeous. The River Ayr runs nearby and the flowing water can be heard through the copse that forms the edge of the property. In the front are hedge-bordered fields with grazing livestock, fat pheasants, soaring eagles and several other wild birds for visitors to watch."
