Location
Dower House is a two-storey, detached cottage located near the Scottish Highlands village of Strathpeffer. It has three bedrooms; a king-size, a double and a twin, sleeping six guests in total. There is also a family bathroom, ground-floor wet room, kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. To the outside ample off-road parking and an enclosed garden to the rear. Dower House offers a rejuvenating break in a lovely part of Scotland.
Strathpeffer is often compared to a Bavarian Mountain resort, and owes its growth to the discovery of water springs during the 1700s. The original Spa Pavilion has been restored after a period of disuse and now serves as a venue for a variety of events, including concerts, dances, dramas and exhibitions. This is a popular base for walkers, with Ben Wyvis within striking distance and the Iron Age hill fort of Knock Farril offering views not to be missed!
