Reviews of Tigh An Tearlach
"Lovely cottage in a great location, the cottage was very spacious and immaculately clean, comfortable furniture and not one but three TV's We had hares in the garden every morning/evening and so many different birds on feeders. The surrounding area is gorgeous and has so many fantastic walks, we and the dogs really enjoyed the forest walks every day, we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for total peace and quiet but also not too far away from a town (Aviemore only 6 miles away)"

"We go away at this time each year to a secluded location to escape the noise of fireworks. Although not secluded, there are just a few properties close by and it was very peaceful. The property is accessed via a private road and sits alone on a plot of land in a valley that overlooks fields to the front. The cottage is well appointed with a large lounge & dining area with two comfy sofas. There is a good sized TV in the lounge & in both bedrooms with Free-Sat channels. Reception can sometimes be a problem in bad weather. There is also a DVD player & selection of DVD's. The kitchen has an oven & electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and is very spacious. There is a utility room next to the kitchen with a washing machine & dryer plus another small freezer & fridge. The main bedroom has a large double bed and overlooks the open aspect while the second bedroom has two signals with a modern en-suite shower. There is a separate bathroom without a shower. The cottage is heated with night storage heaters & a wood burning stove. A little info about how the storage heaters work would be helpful if like us, you are not familiar with them. There are some great walks in the area & some great drives.Make sure that you have everything that you need as the nearest shop is in Aviemore which is about 20 minutes away, There is a small Tesco in Aviemore and many independent shops. It is pet friendly & a great place for dogs. Sadly, the previous visitors allowed their dogs to foul in the garden & didn't pick it up, I'm not sure how many dogs they had but I picked up 16 bags of poop! That was the only negative though & the owners are very helpful & attentive. We would definitely return..."

"The cottage is just beautiful and set in such a lovely location. There was so much space inside and everything had been thought of. We loved the remote location and the views were spectacular. Would highly recommend to friends and family."

"Tigh An Tearlach was a wonderful cottage in a picturesque setting. Very well equipped and larger than expected. The wifi was fantastic infact we had most creature comforts along with a lovely wood burning stove. Although the cottage feels remote you are within a short drive of shops and so many attractions. Our 7 year old son loved every minute of it."

It was very well maintained throughout and had great views from the sitting room and double bedroom. The WiFi worked well.
