Reviews of Driftwood Cottage
"We have just spent 5 days in Driftwood Cottage and loved every minute of our stay. The well equipped cottage is situated in an elevated position about 10 minutes drive from the ferry at Craignure. Surrounded by hills and with stunning views across the water to the mainland, it's a birdwatcher's/stargazer's heaven. There is a local Spar grocer shop in Salen, 6 miles away, which stocks just about everything you need for self catering. The cottage is cosy with the underfloor heating kicking in when it gets cold and the log burner is very efficient. The fenced garden is ideal for dogs and small children. Would highly recommend a few hours on Iona, if only to see the white sandy beaches and colourful rocks."

"The cottages are ideally located for exploring Mull with great views.. The cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The small enclosed garden is perfect for a dog. It was a very wet the week we were there and unfortunately we had problems with the underfloor heating turning itself off. It was off for 4 days out of the 7. The owner was very helpful doing his best to get it sorted. When it was on it was unbearably hot in the bedrooms but the cottage soon felt cold when the heating went off. The wood burner came in handy!. A few niggles - the sofa and armchairs need replacing as you can't sit on them without sliding onto the floor, the single mattresses were incredibly uncomfortable and the headboards bang on the walls every time you move in bed. Apart from that, we had a good stay."
