Wagtail Barn is a contemporary barn conversion in Tacumshane, County Wexford in Ireland. It has a patio area with furniture outside and a large lawn area, there is off-road parking for two cars.Located in a charming Irish village, this is a delightful modern cottage.
Tacumshane in County Wexford has a pub and restaurant, The Millhouse, and is home to the Republic of Ireland's only surviving windmill. Itl is now designated a national monument. This part of County Wexford has plenty on offer - Tacumshane Lake is a favourite with anglers and birdwatchers, there are golf courses, and the coastal walking path is easily reached. Kilmore Quay fishing village is a few miles down the road, and there are some lovely beaches, ideal for relaxing and playing on the sand. The county town of Wexford is under 10 miles away, and offers amenities including shops, bars and good restaurants.

"We planned to stay for just three nights but enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for ten! County Wexford is a truly beautiful part of Ireland and the Tacumshane area is a jewel of a place. Wonderful landscapes, deserted beaches and plenty of birds and other wildlife. Wagtail Cottage is a tastefully renovated barn within a quiet rural farm complex. Two other barns are available to rent at the same site, as is the farmhouse itself. So the whole unit can accommodate around 25 people - great for a party or a big family getaway. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and equipped with all 'mod cons'. The bed was deliciously cosy and offered quiet calmness for a refreshing sleep. The central heating system was fast and efficient and provided plenty of hot water to fill the bath tub. After an initial problem on the evening of arrival, the WiFi worked seamlessly for the following ten days. The hosts (Annabel and Brian) offered truly impeccable customer service throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. Moreover, their local knowledge and advice really did enhance our stay. In summary, an idyllic rural retreat equipped with everything you need for a fabulous stay. "Our family spent a week in Wagtail Barn. The property itself was well maintained, very clean and spacious and had everything we needed from a holiday home. We had two small children with us and the house catered for all our needs to create a home away from home. Rosslare is about a 5-minute drive away, local eatery Meylers Bar & Restaurant 5-minute walk away and keenly priced and very good food. Many gorgeous beaches for fishing and swimming, activities for kids include Secret Valley Wildlife Park and Wells House plus many more. Brian the owner was on site and was extremely helpful and lovely to deal with, I would recommend Wagtail Barn for the perfect stay in Tacumshane, Wexford, I'll bring the Dog next year!"
