Note: Max 4 adults. Note: There are Irish black bees in an apiary adjoining the owner's garden which produce honey which is available. Please note this is an Adults only property.

Rose Cottage is a character stone-built cottage situated in the hamlet of D'Loughtane, near to Youghal on the County Waterford/ Cork border. The cottage can sleep five people in two bedrooms, which are made up of a double and a family room with a double and two singles as well as a family shower room The rest of the cottage is made up of an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with solid-fuel stove. To the outside is a large enclosed front lawned garden with a gravelled area and patio with furniture. Set in a stunning location, Rose Cottage is a great place for a good holiday at any time of the year.
Situated on the estuary where the River Blackwater meets the sea is the seaside resort of Youghal in County Cork. Just across the water from this popular coastal destination is County Waterford, making this a wonderful spot to explore both counties. Today you can enjoy a stroll along the prom and gaze at the boats docked in the harbour. Swim or stroll along the sandy beaches, take a cruise along the Blackwater River, take a guided tour of the town or simply relax and enjoy the pubs, cafes and restaurants.

"My husband and I fell in love with Rose Cottage from first sight until the moment we left. It's cosy, welcoming, so well appointed and charming. Sympathetically restored by its owners, it is comfortable in every way, and very well equipped with everything a guest can desire. Its owners who live next door are equally delightful, giving us a first-class welcome and every help and assistance we could possibly have needed. By the same token, they are equally happy to leave you in peace to get on with your holiday. The cottage is located in a quiet, country hamlet not far from the seaside town of Youghal and very near the absolutely beautiful Blackwater river. We spent a very happy week here and wished it could have lasted a whole lot longer. Because the main bedroom and bathroom, as well as the living accommodation is on the ground floor, this cottage would be ideal for anyone who needs to be on one level, but there is an upstairs bedroom to accommodate several other people. It might be a little out of the way for anyone without their own transportation, but for anyone who wants a little quiet respite in a lovely location, it can't be bettered. It would make a marvellous retreat for someone who wanted quiet meditation and/or contemplation and country walkers, but equally, if you visit with a car, it's within easy reach of many wonderful Irish locations. It's only two or three miles from Youghal, several well-known supermakets and major routes in all directions. We just loved it and highly recommend it."
