Reviews of Ivy House

"Lovely house in a beautiful, serene setting close to all Co Sligo and the North West has to offer..Great space for a large group and the kids will love the back garden equipped with 2 goal posts. The house accommodated 11 of us ranging from 3 to 63 and was a home away from home.. The house was very clean both inside and out and the host Liz was very friendly, accomodating and the cakes went down a treat..Even though the weather was poor we still explored the area every day..Must see is Lough Key the boat trip was well worth it and the crew told us a great place to swim..Doon Shore (on Lough Key) and it was only a few mins drive from the house..Carrowkeel Tombs, the Caves of Kesh are all a few mins drive..Kesh has a lovely playground for the kids..Couldn't recommend this home enough..definetly one to come back to. Thanks Liz."

"Our family party of 9 including a 1 year old baby stayed at Ivy House in June 2019. Our stay was fabulous! Liz was just a joy, so friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother! The house is so spacious and the gardens are fabulous, plenty of space to play in, the house was perfectly kitted out for our baby including stair gates, travel cot and high chair, perfect and just what's needed when holidaying with a baby. Everyone really enjoyed their stay, lots to do nearby and its easy to get to the surrounding towns/villages. Beaches are nearby too, just a short drive to Rosses Point and Strandhill, both are lovely!! Would highly recommend Ivy House!! Thanks again Liz & Family!! The McNamme's"

"We first booked this lovely house in April and after our stay we had to come back in December. After a lifetime of holidays in the Boyle area staying in our grandmother's house, this is the only place that fulfilled our needs when she passed. Beautiful quiet country location with gated drive and privacy. Situated on a working farm next door with the pleasant sound of cattle and peace and tranquility. A lovely modern house with yet some rustic old charm that works in harmony. The owners Liz and Bernard couldn't do more for us and the house has absolutely everything we needed from tea, coffe, sugar, washing up liquid to every cooking utensil and even has a dishwasher, as well as tin foil and kitchen towel!! The Little things that go a long way when staying elsewhere . A home from home and will be going back again. Although only 3 of us stayed would be ideal for more people. The house warms up very quickly and we were left a beautiful welcoming fire on arrival. Can highly recommend this home if you want a peaceful relaxed break."

"House was very clean and a good size if very dated, however it is certainly not 5km to Boyle. A sign 100 meters from the house says Boyle 10km.!!! Much further away than we wanted. Very rural road which made it difficult to go out at night. Nearest pub is advertised as 500 meters however we passed it while driving and sat nav said 1100 meters from the house. We paid top money for a week in August but felt it was a bit unsafe for our small children as grounds were not private. Vans drove through a dirt track in front of the house on numerous occasions. Only a small little garden at the house not the acre as advertised."

"The house was every bit as beautiful in reality as the pictures on the website. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and included little details that made it feel homely. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. I can't rate this house highly enough."

"The owners of Ivy House made us feel extremely welcome, and were happy to accommodate us in any way. The house is on a beautiful plot, which has a lovely garden and is very private. The house can easily accommodate a group of people but it was also great for my family of four. We will definitely visit Ivy House again. "
