Reviews of No. 10 Tipperary Thatched Cottage

"I actually can't say enough about this place. I'm only home since yesterday and have already booked another stay. We spent 3 days in no. 9. Myself, my 2 sisters and 4 kids in total. There were plenty of beds, so comfy my sister intends to buy one the same for home. There were also travel cots provided. The small kitchen was brilliantly laid out for functionality. We were very lucky with the weather and had all our meals outside. There is a BBQ cabin that we intend to use next time. We couldn't this time as the kids are too small. The shop across the road is so convenient. They even popped out the back and came back with a pizza as there was none in the freezer!!! Because of the layout of the houses and green area we could let the kids roam safely while relaxing ourselves. Our eldest made friends with kids in other Cottages and we had a right little community by the end of it. Sharing food and playing games from hide and seek to bowls to water fights. There is a little park out the back that was great for a little ramble (think telly tubby land and you're there). I could go on and on. I have to say that the best part of our stay was the service. Everyone was so helpful and though phone reception or wifi wasn't great we were able to communicate by text effectively. I can't thank them enough for all the help, from jump starting the car to driving ahead of me to lead me to the local hospital (nothing serious but if you need A&E you will have to attend Limerick as Neenagh do not have an emergency depth and don't treat under 5s. Limerick is only about 40 mins away). We thoroughly enjoyed the few days. I'd give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could. I"

"This great little cottage is clean and well equipped with 2 double beds. We were met by Margaret who was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us a quick tour of the house and answered a few questions and then we settled in! I thought the little extras ( candles with matches, a few kitchen staples) were a lovely touch. A great base for sightseeing but the town itself is very quiet and slow paced. The cottages have a big green area in front so lots of space for smaller kids to run around safely. There are 2 pubs and one shop and that's the lot! The shop is quite well stocked but if you are planning to cook a main meal you will need to go to Nenagh. The kitchen in the cottage is excellent. There is no where in the town offering food- not even a soup and sandwich - so be aware of that before you put your feet up and start enjoying the Guinness!"

"April 2017 Just back from these cottages and had a great experience. From the time we arrived we were made very welcome. Margaret had left a small turf fire waiting for us, and the heating in the house had already been on so it was toasty. I had read a lot of really good reviews of this place and had only found one bad one, and you will always get somebody with something to crib about. With all other reviewers and everybody else giving 5 stars and then a person gives one star, I decided I wanted to make up my own mind. Well it is the most idyllic place to go for a chill out break. These are authentic Irish Thatched Cottages, and are really like living in the past but with modern comforts and conveniences. The cottages are also an ideal base for touring that area of the country. We did Bunratty Castle - 40 mins drive away, and Kilaloe River Cruise 35 mins drive over two different days. The next time we are going to do the Cliffs of Moher which is only 1 hour away. Where they are situated is perfect. Just 10 mins from Nenagh so you are away from the hustle and bustle. Literally 30ft from the cottages is the pub and the shop. The pub is a traditional small pub and you get great chat and pointers from the locals. The shop is a mini supermarket and will make breakfast rolls, or picnic rolls for a day out. The cleanliness of the place was spot on, and Margaret had left her number in case we needed anything. She came on the last morning to see us off, which is a sign of great customer service. We will be definitely coming down here again. As a 3 Star Trip Advisor Reviewer I can recommend this place."
