Reviews of Donross Cottage
"We have just returned from a week in don ross cottage, pontoon,co mayo.A lovely relaxing holiday in a beautiful well maintained house, very comfy beds, lovely comfy seating areas and fabulous views over lough conn. The house has one ensuite bedroom which our teenagers claimed for the week, another large double room and a small single . Everything we needed was there lovely fluffy towels in abundance, lovely bed linen and good family bathroom. THE handcrafted kitchen was very well equipped with everything. No shortage of areas to sit and relax the girls took over the lovely comfortable sitting room, while my daughter and I alternated between the cosy snug with its log burner and the comfortable sitting area in the open plan kitchen dining area owner left milk etc for us. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area it's so convenient for everywhere lots to see and do within driving distance."

"Donross cottage is a bright and cozy cottage with everything you need for a family holiday.. Rooms are all very clean and fresh, such charming character with the high ceilings and choice of furniture, and we loved sitting on the couch in the evening looking out at the beautiful view of the lake. The patio area outside is ideal for summer evenings with the tranquil surroundings. The area around the house is quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of information provided about local amenities which helped plan our days during our stay. Our children loved walking down by the lake in the evenings. Mary, our host was very welcoming and only a phonecall away if we needed anything. A wonderful house and beautiful location."

"Booked through sykes cottages, a UK based agency who I have to say were less than helpful, however once we were given owners contact details it became much better . very helpful owners, nothing too much trouble. Lovely quaint cottage. Cosy comfortable beds with crisp clean linen. Two fires, one open and one a stove, helped make cottage very homely , great parking and ramp access at back door. Lovely bright rooms and great views across lough conn and nephins. Will definitely be back"
