One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2.25 miles. Note: As cottage is situated next to a working farm, children should be supervised.

Darbys Cottage is a convenient location for exploring this part of the Emerald Isle with plenty to see and do nearby.
The village of Shrule is situated on Black River which forms the boundary between County Mayo and County Galway. The village is identifiable as you approach by Shrule Castle, and is home to a supermarket and a number of friendly pubs.
The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
