Go for a horseback ride on the sandy beach, popular with walkers, which stretches for 5km to the river Moy a favourite among fishermen known as one of the best salmon fishing areas in Europe. Enniscrone also boasts Surf Schools, an 18-hole championship golf course, Waterpoint Aqua Park, Kiddies Playground and crazy golf & much more.
The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
Reviews of Sunset Beach Cottage
"We have just returned from a week's holiday. My sister in laws and brother in law stayed the first 3 nights, then our 2 daughters, their partners and 2 baby grandchildren came. The place is so spacious with a large conservatory and amazing views over the bay. There are toys for the children, games and lots of glasses and crockery to keep the dishwasher happy. The manageress could not be more helpful and lives a few houses away if needed, but we had no problems especially as there is a booklet that very clearly outlines how everything works. We were lucky with the weather and able to experience the amazing sunsets on our first three days but unfortunately it was then cloudy later in the week. The house is the last one on Pier Road and has its own track on to the rocky beach. It is about a mile from Inniscrone, but there is a good cliff top footpath to the resort. Nearby is a swimming pool with slides ( you have to wear swimming caps ) and there is an excellent pitch and putt course in the centre. Traceys cafe serves great coffee and snacks. The Ocean Sands hotel has a good early diner offer up to 18.30 which suited us when we had the children. Nearby Ballina is good for the shops. For food shopping there is a Tesco, Dunnes and 2 Lidls. There are also 2 or 3 convenience stores in Inniscrone. Knock airport is about an hours drive so if you are a large party you would have to be lucky to find better value for money accomodation."

"My family stayed at the Sunset Beach Cottage over the summer and enjoyed every minute. The house is large enough for extended family to spend quality time together yet there is still enough space to have some quiet time. The cottage is within walking distance to many local restaurants and pubs. Also within walking distance is a sandy beach where surfing and paddle boarding are available (my kids were thrilled to be able to jump of the pier with the locals), a playground, an arcade, and crazy golf. A 10 minute drive takes you into Ballina where you can stroll around town and watch the salmon fisherman try their luck. While staying at the Sunset Beach Cottage, we were within driving distance to many tourist attractions such as the Marble Arch Caves, Galway, and Ashford Castle. We were lucky enough to have cows as our neighbors across the road and horses just in the backyard. This is a fantastic location for families with children as there is plenty of activities for kids and the location is also great for adults as it in close proximity to great restaurants/pubs that feature traditional music and activities rich with the Irish culture."
