Reviews of New Thatch Farm
"This is a wonderful cottage that is well equipped for every need. It is beautifully furnished and decorated and the location is perfect for exploring rural Ireland. It was a real home from home and very cosy. The location is very rural and perfect as a getaway retreat. There is no noise, apart from the cows and the crows, and no light pollution. We already live in a beautiful cottage in the country and we didn't want to come home! The owner is a great host and an obvious home-maker and very attentive, it was wonderful to meet her and share her home. Going to Southern Ireland is a bit like going back in time. There are still hundreds of little independent shops and people have time to stop and chat - be prepared to acknowledge just about everybody who drives past you if you are out for a walk!"

"Our stay at New Thatch Farm cottage was the highlight of our three week holiday in Ireland. The location worked well for exploring the sites of Western Ireland and the cottage provided a comfortable and welcoming place to return each evening. It is nestled in a quiet country setting with all the splendour of the area right on the doorstop. The cottage itself is well appointed and has been carefully and artfully restored to provide all the modern amenities while maintaining its original character. The owner was attentive and welcoming without being intrusive and offered many helpful hints about the area. The beds were comfortable, the cottage scrupulously clean and the presentation, from linens and towels to the lovely bouquet of wild flowers and plate of scones that greeted us on arrival, resonant of a 5 star getaway. The woodstove was a bonus we put to good use each evening as we enjoyed dinner and late night conversation in the cozy sitting room."

"Our stay at this property was more pleasurable than we could ever have expected. When we arrived the owner was there to greet us with a smile and made us feel completely at home. Her house is beautifully kept and well presented. She made us even more welcome with a cake that she had baked. Her attention to detail was clearly visible upon entering the bedrooms where fluffy white towels were all tied up with a white ribbon. Her two cats were delightful - Buttons, the little black young female kept us amused with her antics. Our stay in the country was truly good for our souls. The owner was an awesome host."

"Congratulations and many thanks to the owner who has restored this thatched cottage so lovingly and made it a truly beautiful and homely place to holiday. We were welcomed to the cottage in the middle of the night with candles & fire lit, a tray of cupcakes and everything we would need & more. She explained the use of the essentials in the cottage & gave us advise on things to do around the area. The cottage is situated in a beautiful rural part of county Limerick yet close to amenities. It is furnished to the highest standard and very clean yet cosy. We enjoyed walks around the area and relaxing around the cottage with the animals. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here."
