The property is able to sleep up to three people over two bedrooms and boasts a welcoming open fire and pretty gardens to the rear. Located on Valentia Island - which lies off the coast of the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry – Knightstown is a wonderful spot for a holiday. Easily accessible from the mainland by a ferry that runs from Reenard Point, or via the road bridge at Portmagee, Knightstown provides restaurants and pubs, as well as entertainment and local shops. It also offers a variety of sightseeing boat trips and fishing trips from its picturesque harbour. With around 650 residents, Valentia Island was the site of the first permanent communications link between Europe and the United States, and is famed for its magnificent 'Fogher' sea cliffs and its subtropical gardens at Glanleam House.

County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas.

Reviews of Brendan's Cottage

"The cottage was marvellous and near to village and sea for walks, yet private and secure. We would recommend it for exploring the island or just relaxing."

"Lovely cosy cottage. Short walk across the road you have a lovely view of the Sea. Have to go down a slope to have nice walk on the beach. The town was nearly 2km away but views were lovely from Knightown. Was a pity the patio area was very small. Spotless cottage - Valentia is a beautiful area to explore."
