Open plan living area with fitted kitchen and dining area, arch through to sitting area with open fire, French doors and views out to sea. Full oil central heating, open fire in sitting room. Electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, radio. Turf for open fire inc. in rent, oil & electricity charged via meter reading at end of stay. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Cot available on request. Off road parking for 4 cars. Lawned garden to rear with patio & garden furniture. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Shop & pub 2 miles. Note: This property has a private water supply.

Just a short walk away from Birds Cottage are the local pub and shop in the village of Chapeltown, making this an ideal spot for soaking up the atmosphere of this magical part of Ireland.

With nothing but ocean between it and North America, the island of Valentia, which sits off the west coast of County Kerry, is a fascinating location for a holiday cottage. It is accessed by road bridge from Portmagee and is famed for the breathtaking 'Fogher' sea cliffs, which rise from the Atlantic Ocean on the north of the Island. The village of Chapeltown is centrally located, making it ideal for exploring this island and is just a short drive from the main village of Knightstown, which is home to an array of shops, restaurants, pubs as well as the departure point for the numerous fishing boats and sightseeing excursions.

County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas.
