Reviews of Teach Teolai
"Stayed for a week and we picked a great week for the weather. The cottage is larger than it looks and the additional sun room/conservatory at the back is a great benefit. The place was clean and tidy and the owners even made us a cake (which didn't last long!). Its well equipped and has everything you could need. There's plenty of books, a few games and jigsaws plus free wi-fi. Its slightly tucked away so if you like quiet then this is the place. Although there are a couple of other houses close by, we rarely saw the occupants. There is a very well stocked Eurospar about a 5-10 minute walk. The cafe nearby is nice but if you go to the takeaway, id suggest pre-ordering as its cooked to order. About a 10 minute drive is Coral beach, again quiet when we went and brilliant views. Its called Coral Beach due to the tiny bits of coral (who'd have guessed!) The roads are very well maintained and we did quite a bit of driving around to various places. The only thing id say is be careful on some roads and the surfaces seem to have sunk in places and wont do your car any good but on the whole, they are decent. A couple of places to visit, Kylemore Abbey and the Skyview Road for the views. If you decide to go for a drive, i would recommend (what I called) the windmill road which takes you to Oughterard. Its narrow in places but theres hardly any traffic so stopping to take photos isnt a problem, plus the Urban Cafe in Oughterard is a nice place for a cup of tea and maybe more cake"

"We stayed here for a week in April and had a wonderful time. The house is perfect, spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a quiet location. The owner's daughter was there to welcome us, providing tea, coffee and cake. Top marks for that. I would recommend this listing to anyone, including those who have pets"
