Just one mile away is the spectacular coast of Donegal, and the Wild Atlantic Way can also be joined nearby, making Lackaghmore Cottage a fantastic Donegal base for your next holiday.
A splendid village that time seems to have forgotten, Portnoo is famously known for its breathtaking Blue Flag beach at Narin, which is safely set in a cove and sheltered from the harsh elements. The vast expanse of sand which is set in a rural environment has been attracting holiday makers to its shores for years. The village has a fantastic local restaurant and pub to quench your thirst and appetite after a day in the salty sea air.
The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
