Location
This modern, detached house is set in open countryside just two miles from the coastal village of Spanish Point. This property offers spacious accommodation, which includes a large kitchen with dining area in addition to informal seating around a traditional wood-burning stove, making this room the real heart of the house. Able to sleep ten people, the property is well-suited to a group of friends, a larger family or two small families looking to travel together. The conservatory also offers an additional sitting room whilst the amenities of Miltown Malbay are nearby. The region is full of excellent activities and amenities, just waiting to be explored.
Situated on the west coast of County Clare, Spanish Point takes its name from the Spaniards who died there in 1588, when the Armada was wrecked during a storm. Today, the village is composed of several pubs offering live Irish music, a lovely beach - which is popular for swimmers and surfers alike - and a nine-hole golf course, which is said to be one of the oldest in Ireland. The small town of Miltown Malbay is only three miles away and provides a selection of shops and pubs. Also within easy reach is Lahinch, which caters largely for surfers. Visitors can enjoy a trip to the Cliffs of Moher and the north of Lahinch – both of which offer superb views of the Atlantic and the Aran Islands. Ennis is also within easy driving distance and boasts unusual shops, bars, restaurants and a lively Irish music scene.
County Clare has so much on offer; boat trips, quirky pubs, seaside resorts and a great tradition for Irish music, all set amidst spectacular scenery such as the towering Cliffs of Moher and the fascinating landscape of The Burren.
Reviews of Serene House
"What a fabulous cottage in a great location for us! Terry the owner was lovely nothing was too much trouble. The garden is ideal for children and pets (next time we will bring the dogs) The drive was big enough to accommodate 4 cars and gates could be closed to keep children in lol, very child friendly with high chair, cot and child gate provided. 2 lovely downstairs bedrooms for the older generation and the bathroom has a jacuzzi! Will be back in October to see the family. "

"We all loved the location, it was near enough to lots of fabulous locations but also very private. Just what a group of women needed to relax."
