Reviews of Commonside

"Looks lovely from the outside however not everything is like the pictures shown in the booking spec. The majority of the crockery was chipped, the cutlery was mismatched, the non stick pans were full of scratches, the bedding was not ironed and the towels were very old. The garden furniture has not been well maintained, one broken chair was leaning against the house and whilst we were there another one collapsed. We had to purchase our own dish cloths, washing up liquid and other basic essentials that are normally provided. On the positive this is an excellent area to visit, Cadbury world is great and so is Midlands safari park."

"From the outside this is a lovely little property with a great garden and good off road parking. The ground floor living, dining and kitchen area are reasonably well equipped and comfortable. The first floor, or more accurately the roof space, with two double bedrooms and a bathroom are crammed into a very tight space and it's not possible to stand in more than 50% of the floor space due to the roof apex. There is also very little tabletop space in any of the upstairs rooms to place essentials such as toiletries and makeup etc., especially for 4 people. The bedding and towels provided were of very poor quality and were stained."

"Commonside was clean, quiet and comfortable. There were plenty brochures of things to see and do, and the owner of the property was very helpful. There was a nice little garden, we watched robins feeding young in a small bush, and had a visit from a hedgehog one evening. "

"Wonderful location; out of the busy town centre, but within easy reach and with lovely walks nearby and along the river. The cottage was wonderful; small and cosy, but with everything we needed. It was better than we expected and we were really pleased with the cottage, it made for a wonderful week away. Highly recommended and we may well visit again!"
