"Our first time in Wiltshire so the cottage provided a great base for exploring the many sights and places in the area. The welcome wine, fruit and milk were a nice touch as well as the flowers. The cottage itself is very spacious and well equipped although the fridge has a very small freezer compartment so don't take a lot of freezer stuff because it won't fit. Couple of things that we missed were not having curtains at the bedroom window (just the blinds) as it was light very early and also a bath mat as the shower over the bath created quite a wet floor. This is a very peaceful location with great views at the front and plenty of wildlife. The owners are on site in the house next door and were friendly and helpful."

"This property is in a beautiful position, and the owners were very welcoming and helpful. It was very clean and had plenty of parking outside the property. It was lovely to sit in the garden at the outside table watching the ducks at the pond and all the other wildlife. There was a very good sun umbrella for the table. Overall a lovely place to stay with many things to do and see nearby. Would recommend it!"

"We stayed at The Stables Cottage for two weeks. Location was perfect for us - just short drives to all Historic Places and Towns we wanted to see. Spacious, clean and fully furnished accommodation in a well located friendly farm situation. The kitchen is a great size and so we were inspired to cook, although there's a good local pub - Kings Arms in Melksham - if you want to eat out. The owners were very friendly and we really appreciated the huge welcome package."

"We stayed here for a week as it was ideal for touring, we visited Highgrove, Longleat, Bath, Lacock etc it was really well placed to enable us to do this. The house was very clean, beautifully presented, we had lots of space, a bottle of wine and fruit to greet us, and the whole house really well thought out. The tv had free view and we had internet provided. The only issue is the step from the kitchen to the lounge if you have someone with mobility issues but for us, our children and my mum it worked really well. We went to the pub down the lane opposite - great. All in all a lovely place to stay, we will return here. For us it was perfect."
