"This is a home away from home! Well maintained and exceptionally clean. The property is extremely well equipped - the owners have thought of everything! Off road parking, well fenced safe garden. The log fuel hot tub is fantastic, so relaxing! Beautiful location, a quiet secluded spot not too far away from the local pub and town. Highly recommended!"

"We were lucky enough to stay here with another couple for a pre Christmas weekend break before the mad rush of Christmas! We wanted to completely relax and unwind which is what we did - the beautiful wood burning hot tub definitely helped with that! The cottage is spotlessly clean, we had complimentary towels robes and slippers and a beautiful welcome hamper! The owners have thought of everything - it literally is home from home, very warm and very cosy!It is furnished to a high standard and the decor is lovely. The owners and their daughter Laura made us feel welcome and were on had if required! Would definitely like to return to this tranquil cottage."

"What a fantastic weekend we have had! Everything in this luxurious cottage was all finished to a really high spec making our relaxing weekend getaway just perfect. The cottage is set in picturesque countryside with amazing views out of every window. We had everything we needed from: super comfy bed; a range of board games; multiple toilets and showers; underfloor heating and a large sofa to chill out on. The hot tub was amazing and just what we needed to really relax. We will definitely be returning soon!"

"We have just come home from a really lovely week away during half term with 3 children aged 5, 9 & 11. We booked the cottage with a view to just relaxing and we did just that. The cottage is so comfortable that we honestly struggled to get out! Under floor heating, countryside views from every window, hot tub, large enclosed garden, black out blinds, recent DVDs, board games, a welcome pack on arrival (jams, crisps, bread, prosecco, chocolate) and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in are just a few of the luxuries. There was also a wine glass for every drink possible, plenty of crockery/plates etc alongside a top of the range oven & washing machine/tumble dryer etc. The hot tub was heated by logs and it took about an hour to heat up - perfect as our youngest went it before it got too hot and then the adults later. There was plenty of room for the elder boys to play football in the garden, a little bridge and a fenced off river for our youngest to play poo sticks. All completely safe. During our stay we went to 3 national trust sites - Ilam House, Dovedale and Sudbury. All were a half day out after our leisurely brunch. There is also a cinema and bowling alley near by and we ate at the Dog & Partridge which was BOGOF and good value. Our meal of the week was Sunday lunch at the Wayfarer - well worth a visit - we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. The hosts at The Green were really helpful - nothing was too much trouble and they were always on hand to help or offer advice (and even give the kids some chocolate for the journey home). We were very sad to leave and will definitely return. Thanks for a fabulous relaxing holiday:-)."
