Stocklinch is known locally as being a social, welcoming and close-knit community. Some of Stocklinch's 120 residents have lived here all their life - others have left hectic city lives in exchange for our rural idyll. There is still one working farm in the village, the last dairy cows left a few years back. From the hillside there are extensive views west and south across the valley of the river Isle towards the Quantock and Blackdown Hills and, closer at hand, the village and church tower of Whitelackington and the grounds of Dillington House.
Somerset offers 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Quantock, Mendip and Blackdown Hills. Lose yourself in the glory of nature, take a ride on a steam train, visit a traditional farmers' market or explore your mystical side at Glastonbury.
