Rosehill is a small North Shropshire village 3 miles from the town of Market Drayton, and stands beside both the River Tern and the Shropshire Union Canal. Market Drayton is renowned for hosting one of the liveliest weekly markets you will find, and the town centre boasts many delightful 16th and 17th century half-timbered buildings including a variety of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms. Close by is Ellesmere, with its beautiful meres (lakes), a variety of National Trust mansions and gardens including Attingham, Hodnant Hall, Hawkstone Park and the lovely medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow.
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
Reviews of Rosehill Manor
"We were a party of 18, with an age range from 11-74. Everyone, without exception, had a wonderful time. There is something to entertain everyone. The property is well maintained and scrupulously clean. The owners are delightful and the catering they personally provided on two occasions could not be faulted. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation."

"Rosehill Manor was perfect for us. The open plan living room is huge and the dining table sat all 20 of us and was all set for our arrival which was a really nice touch. The kitchen was a really good size and contained everything we needed. The CD player played music throughout the living area, bar and conservatory! We also got some nice weather so was lovely for us all to sit in the garden. The owners were there to explain and answer any questions we had. We would definitely come back again. "

"We wanted a holiday cottage that would accommodate a whole family ranging from 75 years to 6 weeks old. This cottage did just that. The swimming pool is safe and fun. The living area is big with plenty of seating for that time when you just want to sit quietly. The garden is huge with children's play equipment. The bedrooms were very big and all had their own bathroom which was very convienant. All in all an amazing weekend which when shared between 20 was excelant value for money :) :) "

The whole experience was just really good for a getaway with the extended family. The hot tub and pool should also get a special mention!"
