Gas central heating and a woodburning fire, electric range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, microwave, toaster, TV, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc in rent. Bed linen and towells inc. in rent. Off-road parking and garage. Front garden area with drive away and lawned space, back garden has a decking, seating and a barbecue, as well as lawned space. Two pets are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Town centre is a mere 10-minute walk, and the closest shop can be found within 0.5 mile, and pub is a 15-minute walk.

You will also find a large family bathroom with a separate shower, WC and basin. Within the home you will also find a kitchen and an open-plan living/dining room. Additional rooms include two further living areas where once boasts a woodburning fire. Off-parking is available as well as a garage. This property also homes a front garden with a small lawned area and a back garden with a decking area and a larger lawned area.
Church Stretton is a market town in the heart of Shropshire. Here you will find several shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Long Mynd, the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm and Stokesay Castle. Other villages are a short journey from this central location such as Shrewsbury and Ludlow.

"Thistledown is a very comfortable base for exploring this beautiful area of Shropshire. Turn right out of the property and Church Stretton is about a 10 minute walk, turn left and you're walking in the hills. Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ludlow are all close by and worth visiting. Acton Scott Farm is about 10 minutes away and, although relatively small, is most definitely worth a visit with plenty of hands on activities for children to enjoy. Walkers will enjoy Carding Mill Valley which is again very close. The kitchen is superbly equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. The water in the kitchen is extremely hot, as mentioned by some guests, but it is a mixer tap so it can be easily controlled. Previous guests also mentioned chipped crockery but we did not find one piece that was chipped so we think the owners must have taken note and replaced it. The oven appeared to be unused and everything was spotlessly clean. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and we didn't really find the low water pressure too much of a problem. Previous comments suggested that the towels were 'old' but again we think the owners took note as all the towels we had felt and looked almost new. If we had any negative comments they would be that only one bin was provided upstairs in the main family bathroom. With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms this was totally inadequate. In addition, the porch is crying out for some coat hooks. The ground floor is a little unusual in layout and it would be quite difficult for 7 adults to all sit and relax together. However, it was perfect for our party of 5 adults and a 1 year old who had plenty of space to crawl around and explore. Overall Thistledown is lovely and we would certainly consider it again if we return this part of the country."
