One well-behaved dog is welcome. Please note noisy dogs cannot be permitted to stay and under no circumstances are dogs to be left in the property alone. Dove Cottage is a wooden-clad converted barn set near Picklescott in Shropshire. It has two bedrooms including a double and a twin, both with en-suites, the cottage can sleep four people. Also inside you will find an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. To the outside there is off road parking for two cars and a rear garden with a lawn, patio and furniture. Dove Cottage is a lovely cottage in a great location.
The pretty, rural village of Picklescott nestles in the Shropshire Hills adjacent to the Long Mynd, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Picklescott is at the halfway point of a lovely walk along country lanes while the surrounding area abounds in miles of beautiful bridlepaths offering excellent walking and cycling opportunities. The village is home to the award-winning The Bottle and Glass, a pub serving up real ale and home-cooked food. Enjoy the stunning views from the Devil's Chair at nearby Stiperstones Nature Reserve, or visit the picturesque market town of Church Stretton with its half-timbered buildings, just a 6 mile drive away across the stunning Long Mynd hills. The medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow, with their ancient castles, excellent shops, restaurants and scenic, riverside walks are well worth a visit, as are the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge with its fascinating museums, the amazing Roman ruins at Wroxeter and Stokesay Castle. This superb holiday location has plenty to offer at any time of year.

"Great family holiday. This cottage is set in fantastic picturesque countryside. Plenty of great walks and a 15 minute drive to the nearest town. The cottage is renovated to a very high standard and is comfortable. Tom the owner is also very helpful. "
