Reviews of Cardingmill Corner
"1) The location is a known walking spot so I was surprised that there was no washing machine listed and when making an enquiry with the owner I got a rude email back saying we could not handwash our clothes in the sink and perhaps we should ask Sykes to find alternative accommodation! At this point I had already paid in full and paid for train tickets and I was only making a polite enquiry to doublecheck. What self catering place these days does not provide this facility?? The place should cost less since it does not have one. 2) I don't know what is so special about the sink that you can't handwash in it as when we arrived it smelt of eggs so needs drain unblocker. 3) The WiFi password would not work and after my last response from the owner I did not wish to make contact with them again. 4) The towels have been laundered so much they felt like sand paper. We ended up using our own walking ones. 5) You only get one pillow to sleep on and that pillow is flat as a pancake. 6) You cant be of a big size to stay here as the toilet is wedged between the shower and a piping hot towel rail.... 7) The sofas were very uncomfortable - hard, so not easy to relax on at the end of the day. 8) The gate you have to enter/exit by is right on the road so easy to get knocked down. 9) No recycling - not environmentally friendly. No instructions where you can take it since they don't provide the bins, they just say to put everything in the one rubbish bin outside and yet we saw recycling bins in the street so I do not see why they cannot provide this. The only thing going for this cottage is its location at the start of Cardingmill Valley."
