Reviews of Sun Cottage

"This lovely cottage in the village of Norbury is charming, secluded and a very comfortable base for us and our two children (5 and 8). The wood burner is lovely on a chilly evening and the kitchen well appointed and comfortable. The garden area is to the front of the house but the road is very quiet. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the owners supply the bathroom with lovely Scottish hand made toiletries, a r and al luxury. We enjoyed a lovely walk at the Long Mynd and visiting quirky shops in Bishops Castle. Lunch at Restaurant Severn in Ironbridge was an absolute treat and excellent value. Biking essential however as the restaurant is small. We also enjoyed RAF Gosford on the way home although agreed with reviews that you need hours there. My only reservation with sun cottage would be for anyone with very young children or those finding stairs difficult as the stairs are very steep. Also the local Inn also run by the owners has a fine dining restaurant that many trip advisor rivers have enjoyed. For us with young kids it was very expensive for quite small portions - after a day in the fresh shropshire air we would have been better off having a hearty bar meal elsewhere. The food was however very tasty and well cooked."

"Sun Cottage was cosy and comfortable and the garden was ideal for our dog. We loved the wood burning stove, especially as the evenings were chilly outside. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting so many lovely places. We plan on returning. "
