Reviews of Shady Hollow
"Perfect choice to celebrate a 80th birthday with a combination of 3 families. The birthday girl was able to have the downstairs bedroom with an adjacent bathroom whilst we had the choice of the lovely well appointed rooms upstairs. The house is very well equipped with every little touch making it extra special. Enough space to easily accomadate the 10 of us and one dog. A short walk into Bishops Castle via a Tarmac path meant the cars stayed mainly on the drive. Here there are lots of places to eat providing something for everyone. If you get the chance to walk up to the Castle Hotel, their garden overlooks the valley, giving a lovely vista whilst enjoying some delicious food."

"We stayed 4 nights over New Years, as a group of 11 (adults, kids and dogs!) this place was perfect, lovely welcome from the owner with Beers, Wine and Chocolates and nice open fire. The house was spacious and catered for all our needs, the kids and adults loved the Hot Tub and the Cinema room was great to watch a film and doubled up as a kids Disco room! Well equipped kitchen and large bedrooms and lounge. Plenty to keep us all occupied and nice location for walks into Bishops Castle. Loved it and would definitely return!"

"We have just returned from a weeks stay here. Excellent location, only 10 minutes walk into Bishops Castle. The house is well furnished with large with 6 lovely bedrooms. The lounge was large enough to seat 12 of us comfortably and had everything we needed to cook large meals and the dishwasher was a god send! We enjoyed using the hot tub day and night, also the cinema room with its amazing speakers was well used. The owners were easy to contact and extremely helpful, leaving us wine, beer, milk and a lovely homemade cake. We definitely will be visiting again!"
