"We booked this house for a family gathering of 11 , including 5 grandchildren! It was just perfect and we all had a wonderful week. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and everything worked. It had the added bonuses of a huge hot tub and great games room to keep young and old entertained. Also a brilliant place for hide and seek! The kitchen was everyone's favourite room with the Aga making the whole place cosy and snug. There were countless thoughtful little touches all over the house and the owners were always so helpful and excellent with all communications. Certainly a very special property and so glad we booked it."

Together with a fantastic group of friends, it made the perfect getaway. Hopefully we will be returning before too long."

"We are 5 married couples who stayed here at Willowgarth House for a long weekend. The property was spotless and very spacious. The kitchen area is really the centre piece with superb cooking facilities on the Aga. Dining seating for about 14. All bedrooms were very comfy. Only one twin isn't en-suite. Some very nice touches from the owners include robes & slippers, a bottle of fizz and fresh scones for us on arrival. There is a drying room if needed. The 'games room' hosts a table tennis table, table football & a TV/Games console. The hot tub was a huge bonus, even in the rain. Lots of outside space. Some good walks nearby although you'll need a vehicle really to get about. We went to Ripon Races. Thank you to the owners Graeme & Vanessa. A fabulous stay. We will return."

"Worst cottage I have stayed in. - No safety deposit boxes in rooms. - No ventilation in bathroom (No window or extractor fan in some two of the shower rooms leaving the bathroom misty after taking a shower and leaving it smelly after using the loo. -White carpet in the whole place and we were accused of the carpet being dirty after we left. - Some brown stains in one of the bedrooms and we were the victims of this eventhough this was mentioned and seen by us on the first day as we entered the property. - The blinds were in perfect condition however the blame once again was put on us that we damaged it and we did mention to the Dimitris (owners) husband to have a look at the property before we left and he said that everything looks fine and that we were okay to leave. After 3 days I got a call stating that we have damaged the blinds which I feel is very poor service. - 5 days after leaving the place I receive another call from Vanessa (owner) who stated we damaged the Henry hoover however an hour before we left and were also peanlised for this. - We were victimised of all the above and lost some of our deposit due to non fault of our own - As good guests and fulfilling our contract, we hoovered the whole cottage and cleaned the while place top to bottom. The place was given back as we received it. - I feel the owner was very incompetent at her job and has no customer service skills. - I spoke to her in a professional manner but she was rude and at times she was insulting me and talking to me as I was a nobody. I am truly very disappointed and disgusted with the way I was treated and I shall never be booking this place again even if it was given me. DO NOT STAY"

Despite being large it felt very homely and we all enjoyed our stay here. Games room and hot tub great for keeping teenagers amused.Touches like supplying robes and slippers added to the experience. The open fire, games room and kitchen 'to die for, ' full of quality crockery and equipment will be hard to match. Willow Garth is presented with a personal touch and styled so that we all felt that we were in 'a home' not a holiday let. Cannot compliment enough!
