Reviews of Owl Cottage

"So glad I found this cottage - absolutely perfect and exactly as described. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful location, lovely owners and everything was spotless in this very well designed, pretty and comfortable conversion. Snug and warm even though the weather wasn't great. Went to sleep to the sound of owls, the occasional cow and the beck next to the cottage - wonderful. Dark sky area as well so a nocturnal bonus! Plenty of room for a couple plus dog, I'd say (dog washing outside tap / hose for muddy furries). Friendly farm dog likes to come and say hi! Easy access for less mobile visitors. There were people staying at one of the other cottages but this didn't impact on privacy. Would imagine that a large group spread over the cottages would have a great time. The area is stunning - moorland, forestry, plenty of nearby walks (one straight from the property itself) and cycling routes. Went horse riding at Bilsdale Riding Centre (around 10 mins drive near Hawnsby) - definitely recommend. Helmsley and Stokesley both not far with plenty of independent shopping, eateries etc around and about."

"We really liked everything about Owl Cottage. It is situated in a peaceful location within a courtyard of three holiday cottages on the owners farm and set well back off the Stokesley to Helmsley Road. We found the cottage to be really cosy with everything we needed to make our stay just perfect. The owners are very friendly, approachable and helpful. It is conveniently situated for walking the Cleveland Hills with some very pretty market towns and villages within a short drive."
