Reviews of Eldroth House Cottage
"A superb cottage in a delightful garden, plenty of space inside & out, beautiful surroundings, so peaceful & unspoilt. The beds are luxurious, all is warm & welcoming & the cottage is equipped in every detail you could wish for self-catering. Recommend The Gamecock in Austwick, the Golden lion in Settle and the Folly Museum. Kirby Lonsdale has much to explore. Don't miss the Norber Erratics north of Austwick- an easy climb to view amazing geological features. Plenty of footpaths in all directions including 2 that begin from the garden."

"The cottage is extremely well equipped and well furnished. The owners have spared no expense in ensuring that the refurbishment and soft furnishings are both tasteful and quality. The welcome hamper was exceptional and exceeded all expectations or standards. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, soft fluffy towels and even the wood burning stove made and ready to light on arrival show how much care and thought have been put into this cottage. Without a doubt this new to the market cottage will soon be fully booked. We have already booked our return visit ( whilst we can) Well done! you have set the standard for the local area and it will take phenomenal effort to match you."

"This is a superb, wonderfully well appointed, unusually roomy cottage and excellent value for money. The owners have provided almost every facility and are happy to provide anything you need that is not already there. The accomodation could hardly be improved on in every area of the house although a freezer would be nice. The WiFi was the fastest we have ever had in a cottage. The surroundings were so quiet and peaceful. We also loved eating out in the garden using the chairs and tables provided. We took two small dogs with us and it was a great cottage for them too although as the particulars say they needed to be supervised. They spent hours happily romping around the large garden and it would be great if the gate on the far side could be more secure. They also liked exploring the stream although it does become a torrent when it rains hard. Our dogs also liked looking for dead rodents in the yard, presumably left there by the cats! But these were small disadvantages to a wonderful cottage and stay."

"We stayed here for a 3 day break last week, as a party of 2 adults, 2 children (11) (13) and our dog. The Cottage is down a quiet lane, attached to the owners house. You have a private front garden and have use of the large back garden also. The cottage was immaculate, and the beds so comfy. Everything we needed & more was provided from fresh coffee, milk, dog treats, first aid kits to torches & matches incase of a power cut! Nothing hadn't been thought of, I think this hugely shows that the owners view this as a business & take it seriously, which I loved. The walking folder provided in the cottage was a great help for novices! and we managed to enjoy a few good walks around the local area. If you need a break from everything this is the place! Thanks for having us! Robin, Terri, Lydia & Max. (& Puddle!)"

"I loved that even the smallest the details have been carefully thought about by the owners of Eldroth House Cottage, everything was all kindly supplied.. I have never experienced such a complete cottage in the 30 years of renting holiday cottages. The decor was beautifully put together and the information supplied about the area was excellent and so detailed and importantly the beds were extremely comfortable. We had an excellent overall stay and will definitely go again. Also this is first review I've ever been bothered to do, so that must tell you something. "

"I stayed at Eldroth House for a long weekend and as soon as I arrived, I knew I had found a little piece of heaven! My hosts Jill and John were amazing, kind and considerate showing me around the local areas. The cottage was stunning and I felt so at home. The garden is so tranquil and I woke up to swallows building a nest outside my bedroom window! The area has beautiful walks and is great for going into Settle, Kirby Londsale and the other lovely villages. My particular favourite was Clapham, with it's fab vintage shop! I highly recommend Eldroth House and will be staying again soon. If you want peace, beautifil surroundings and the contest bed and great shower, you can't go wrong here!! Thank you Jill and John for making me so welcome xx"
