Reviews of Hawthorne Cottage

"This cottage looks like a DIY enthusiasts first attempt at joinery and painting. The mismatch of colours and broken furniture is awful. It is not clean, there was old food left in the freezer and the ancient fridge doesn't get very cold (for h and s it has to be 4c or less). The lack of curtains mean it's cold and there's no privacy. The gas oven cuts out making it impossible to cook anything, unless you want to nuke it to death in an antiquated microwave! The cottage is located next to a busy stables so the single lane is filthy and peppered with horse and dog muck, this obviously gets brought into the property on shoes. The downstairs bathroom was freezing, even with the heating on and the narrow stairs with a huge step at the top are horrendous. In my opinion the place is cluttered with the owners unwanted tat, I personally would recommend they sell it at a car boot sale and use the proceeds to decorate throughout in neutral colours then give the place a good clean before replacing all the appliances with ones that work, this includes the washing machine which had tape across it as it didn't work."
