Set by Pendle Hill, Downham is within the Forest of Bowland AONB. It's a charming base with a gastropub, a tea room, an ice cream shop and a village green. Nearby, Clitheroe has a number of attractions including the castle and museum, Bowland Brewery and galleries. It is also worth visiting The Grand with a selection of music and cinema nights. There are four walks that will show the town and surrounding area, Clitheroe Golf Club is ideal for any enthusiasts. With breath-taking countryside on your doorstep, this is a wonderful location for a break.
