Reviews of Lake Vista Lodge
"Stayed here for a week ,we found this place very relaxing with good views over the lake it looks good in the pictures and it is a good place to stay but it needs a good deep clean ie pots, pans, carpets etc.also freezer not good, outside decking weak in parts .we would stay here again if we are in this area,it's on a very good site pub/restaurant also good leisure facilities. Close by is Carnforth with good shops / supermarkets and train station Morecambe is only a short easy drive away with plenty cheap parking also there is small zoo about 3 miles miles away that is worth visiting. Over all we had good holiday there it just needs T.L.C."

"The lodge looks as it is in the pictures and on arrival we were pleased with our choice. However the furniture in the lounge needs replacing, you sink into the sofa and struggle to get out, the two chairs are very uncomfortable. Spent the week using the dining room chairs...not good after a long day out! The dishwasher smelt awful and on inspection the filters were absolutely filthy, we cleaned it! A little worrying knowing the health problems a dirty dishwasher can cause! Tidying up one morning we used the vacuum cleaner provided. Once again this smelt awful. We took the bag out to empty and I do not believe it had been emptied for some time. It took quite a while to clear it. The en-suite shower drain had not been cleaned, we cleaned that as well! The outside was covered in cobwebs, and whilst we are aware of nature, the outside and the veranda had not been brushed off for some considerable time. Having had a holiday rental property of our own in the past we were not impressed. This lodge needs a thorough clean, redecoration and new furniture. We would not stay here again. The site however was brilliant. Lovely restaurant, great food."
