Reviews of Avocet Cottage

"This was a really lovely cottage, very clean everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Furnishings and linens to a high standard. Excellent position opposite Silverdale station, you could literally park up your car and jump on a train to various places, such a lovely area to stay in. We had a lovely time and hope to go back soon."

"Well presented comfortable property, needs well catered for, very warm and cosy, wow what amazing heating system. Comfy beds, although surprised at no mattress covers!. Nice touch to have TV in each room. Well equpped kitchen. Plus my little four legged friend found the garden fully enclosed and am sure it will be lovely to eat out in the lovely weather. Wifi good - but sometimes think weather made it drop, mobile signal was ok outside and upstairs. Located in lovely area - close to both Lakes and Dales, Leighton Moss is just a stroll away, and the small rural train station is opposite- is ideal if you feel like a train ride across the amazing estuary to Grange over Sands and back, plus cottage is by Silverdale Golf Club, with a new bistro opening in May 2018 - so everything right on doorstep. Certainly would go again and I found no problems with the close proximity of small rural train station (rural trains and don't run through night) Silverdale is a lovely village with some lovely country and sea views and walks. Enjoyed our stay at Avocet Cottage"

"I took my 75 yr old parents, my brother, his dog and my 8 year old daughter, a week of relaxation in a beautiful cottage in Silverdale. Bonus we got to stay in the both cottages, Avocet and Keepers and both amazing decorated beautifully, everything you could need, opposite Silverdale station, beautiful part of the country. Walking distance to Leighton Moss Nature reserve, beautiful walks. We took Mum and Dad back to their honeymoon destination of Morecambe! We were central for The Lakes, Kendal, Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere. We even had a fun day at Blackpool reminiscing of childhood holidays! Staff were fantastic if we had any questions. Got to meet the Owner Victoria with her lovely daughter Olivia. We had an issue with one of our cars, and we should have checked out at 10am, but staff and owner we amazing and very helpful! thank you for the making of some lovely memories. Definitely will come back and definitely will recommend to family and friends."
