Reviews of Raddle Bank House
"Fine setting with beautiful views and very comfortable accommodation. One of our company arrived with a broken ankle, but she managed the outside steps. The rooms were all clean and very comfortable and well furnished. It proved to be an excellent base for walking and visiting many places of interest. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We were a group of 6 over 60s on an annual May walking holiday (this time a little restricted!), and we had a very enjoyable time ."

The owners were very friendly but respectful of privacy and ready to help if needed. The view was amazing. The space in the cottage and the number of bathrooms made for a stress free time. It is well located for travel all round the area. Highly recommended."

"Everything about this place is as described in their advertising apart from the quality of the furnishings, which is outstanding. Quality bed linen, towels, crockery, furniture with no expense spared throughout. A great attention to detail has been made by the owners, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The property is ideally placed for touring the area, and is not far at all from some nice pubs too. Highly recommended."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Raddle Bank House. On arrival we were made very welcome by the owners. The converted barn had just the right mix of old and contemporary. The beams and high ceilings were beautiful and even more modern features like the windows were done in keeping with the feel of the barn. This was my ninth self catering holiday home and was the best yet I highly recommend it."

"Great accommodation, the layout was ideal for us. One bedroom is isolated from the main accommodation by an outside walk and a flight of stairs. Well appointed and cosy, We all love it. Only downside was the compulsory drive to anywhere. This didn't present any major issue, but the nearest pub is a long walk!"

"Ideal accommodation for three couples, as three en-suite bedrooms and shared kitchen/diner/sitting area. One disadvantage; access from ground floor bedroom to living area reached by outside steps. Also number of steps can be a struggle for those less able. Owners very friendly and helpful, A nice touch;- a welcome hamper and cake."

"The best decision we ever made! This cottage was perfect for us. The area is beautiful and full of history! The town of Tenbury Wells was just down the road and made our more mundane tasks like buying groceries and getting gas simple and quick. What made this experience extra-special however, was the owners! The owners made us feel very welcome and took time out of their day to give directions, recommendations and information on English history, etc. If it had not been for them, we would never have visited Ludlow or the Black Mountains in Wales, two of our favourite trips! We cannot say enough about these lovely people and want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts. "

"There were 5 of us staging, as a break from family/work life. The cottage itself is amazing - large bright rooms, beautifully renovated, smart bedrooms (all en-suite) and a living area (sitting, eating, cooking) made cosy by a wood fired stove. Located just a few miles out from Tenbury, we found time to take a couple of walks to the town. Be sure to take in the amazing Church (I think it is now a school) and definitely take time to have a drink of two in the Pembroke House pub because it's lovely (and also, the first one you will see entering from that side of the town!) The owners (Graham and Polly) are also lovely. The fire was already roaring as we arrived and we were left with a lovely hamper. There were also all the bits-and-bobs you need (check with them first to see if they have it in the cottage - we needn't have bought cooking oil, washing up liquid etc.). Graham kindly booked us a table at one of the local restaurants and both he and Polly were happy to chat with us, but also left us well alone to enjoy our weekend. I am planning to return, this time with the family"

"We chose this property after searching through almost all the other properties Sykes cottages had to offer. It didn't disappoint. The owners are lovely and live in a house that is just opposite the barn, so if you have any issues you don't have to go far to mention them, we let graham know about an issue with the living room door and it was sorted within an hour. The barn is designed in a way that you are not overlooked by anyone, including owners next door. We liked the fact that you are out in the countryside but don't have far to go to local towns for shopping and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby to eat. Tenbury wells is only 3 miles away and Ludlow is 8 miles away. The walking in the local area was great, we did 2 local circular walks in shobdon and yarpole, the leaflets for these were in the property, we also did circular walks in Wyre forest which was only 30 minute drive away. I can't say enough good things about this property, it is very comfortable, well equipped and the quality of the fittings and equipment is excellent. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to others."
