Reviews of Pembridge Cottage

"Such a lovely break at Pembridge Cottage! A cosy bolt hole and yet so convenient for Monmouth, Hereford and the Forest of Dean, Ledbury,Ross on Wye. Pembridge cottage sits alongside the main house and therefore you are not isolated. The host was friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. All amenities and styled to be relaxed and comfortable, perfectly suiting the countryside surrounding the cottage. Our dogs were in paradise - so many squirrels and birds. A short stroll to the Norman Church where we saw a beautiful hare in the grounds. Would definitely return to this lovely place."

"Perfect stopping point for the final (southerly) stages of the Offa's Dyke path as relatively easy access to Monmouth and path finish at Chepstow. Me, my Mum and her friend did this section in two days and Pembridge cottage was perfect. Hardwood and stone floors, comfy furniture, lovely beds (for the two-leggers - I brought my own). Washing machine and tumble dryer as well. Best bit for me was that a previous dog had left a chew under the bed! Good local walking on the cottage owners land and a big garden (un-gated from road though). Cottage owner was lovely and took my Dad fly fishing which he, evidently, thought was wonderful. No fish tea for me though ......"

"This is a lovely cottage but in need of a good Spring clean, routine maintenance and a coat of paint. There were dead flies behind the venitian blinds and cob webs everywhere. The toilets and wash basins were clean enough but the bath room floors and skirting boards very dirty. The beds were comfortable but there was black mould inside the upstairs bedroom window and the leak in the roof needs a permanent fix."

Symonds Yat only 10 minutes away with lovely walks along the Wye and good food and drink. Hereford only 20 mins away and Monmouth only 5 minutes."
